Award for Excellence in Interprofessional Teaching and Learning
The Award for Excellence in Interprofessional Teaching and Learning recognizes two outstanding educators who demonstrate excellence in facilitating interprofessional groups of learners at UBC Vancouver or UBC Okanagan.
The awards are valued at $1,000 each and will be presented to two educators who have facilitated interprofessional learning activities for UBC Health, such as the Integrated Curriculum, and have demonstrated exemplary facilitation skills.
- The nominee must have facilitated the same interprofessional activity for at least two years at UBC.
- The nominee regularly contributed innovative ideas/suggestions for enhancement of interprofessional learning.
Individuals involved with the UBC Health Integrated Curriculum and other interprofessional learning activities, such as participating students, facilitators, observers, and members of the Integrated Curriculum Implementation Group, are invited to nominate an outstanding facilitator for this award. To make a nomination, complete the online nomination form and include nomination letters from one health professional/educator/program coordinator and one UBC health program student who has been positively impacted by the nominated individual.
Nomination letters should describe the nominee's contributions towards interprofessional learning and facilitation and must include specific examples of how the nominee meets the eligibility criteria.
The award recipients will be selected by the UBC Health Awards Committee, which is comprised of UBC faculty members, students, and public members from the health community.
By accepting the award, the recipients consent to having their names and photos published in UBC Health communications.
